About us

Crofts Chocolates is based in the beautiful seaside town of Scarborough and is run by a mum and son team, Sheila and Alex.

We use the finest Belgian chocolate, and our business has quite humble beginnings when Alex started to make chocolates from his kitchen table and the demand and business grew from there.

We established Crofts Chocolates in 2013 and we have developed the brand, the range of chocolates and how chocolate fans can buy our creations. We attend food festivals whenever we can.

In November 2019, we won the prestigious DeliciouslYorkshire Taste Award for Best Confectionary with our Scarborough Sea Salt Caramel chocolate. The Crofts team couldn't have been prouder as it showed the hard work and dedication from the whole team.

We are also hoping to hold workshops and demonstrations again soon at our new production unit based in St John's Road, Scarborough. This new spacious unit is where we create the chocolate our customers love.

Our team also includes some part time members of staff, and the whole Crofts ethos is about being part of a family, as this is at the very heart of our business.

Our aims are to provide great chocolate and give all customers friendly service.

Our new website will also offer customers more choice and of course we always welcome everyone to our shop in Scarborough.
