Come to our micro factory and create your own chocolate treats to take home and impress your friends, or give to them if you're feeling generous enough! We run these workshops in a relaxed and friendly environment. Please note, all workshops are held in our factory at 4 St Johns Road, YO12 5ET
1.5 to 2 hours of learning about how chocolate is made, the difference between quality and cheap chocolate, and of course the main reason why you're here, creating your own chocolate! Recommended age is 8 and up, but we're happy to have younger attend if they're helped by an adult. Our site is also wheelchair accessible.
We will get in touch after you book to find out exactly what you might be interested in making as we try to cater the experience to you. Bringing young children? We would generally make bars and lollies. Hen party, lets make some bars and truffles with an extra boozy kick!
Typical format to expect would be:
• Welcome and drinks
• Introduction to chocolate
• Chocolate tasting
• Chocolate making
• Packaging your chocolate to take home
Everything you need will be provided, but please wear suitable clean clothing and keep hair tied back where possible. These workshops are set up to be a private booking meaning you won't be sharing your experience with anyone else apart from your group, due to this we do require a minimum of 4 people to be booked in. We can accommodate up to 12, but for more please do get in touch as we might be able to fit you in.
Booking is required 7 days in advance, but if you want to get in last minute feel free to give us a call to check availability.

We can't run these workshops during peak times (Christmas and Easter) If you would like to purchase a workshop as a gift, please see our gift vouchers here https://croftschocolates.com/products/crofts-chocolates-gift-card?_pos=1&_sid=b217b14b8&_ss=r the gift card can be redeemed at the checkout whilst booking in future
Alex Grant - Owner and chocolatier for Crofts Chocolates.
I've worked with chocolate for over a decade now, before that I was a chef for 12 years. I'm self taught through trial and error, books and experimenting, I'm still learning everyday!
I love hosting our workshops and seeing peoples creativity while having a laugh.
